Kent announced that we will have to advisory members sitting on our committee from the Historic District Commission. They include Kevin Bragg and Ginger Laplante.

Bob Pollack presented the color version of his revised conceptual plan for a redesigned Canterbury Center. He intially foucsed on the area in front of the Canterbury store.

The paved area in front of the store has been made into a oneway flow from the Center Road (west) side into the store, and becomes two way after the store as it continues towards hackleboro Road egress. The paved “throat” has been narrowed on the Center Road side to allow only one-way traffic, with the reclaimed space increasing the Green around the existing Gazebo.

Much discussion was given over to the number and location of parking spaces, and where their usage could be shared for several different purposes. Traffic flow issues were also discussed with repect to the Fire Department and possible library at the Sam Lake Location

NEXT MEETING:

We will meet in 2 Weeks with Bill Johnson of Allied Clear Water. (May 8, 2002)
